Cait Alexander

Chair
Woman for Peace

Cait Alexander is a nationally recognized advocate, activist, and survivor who brings lived experience and unrelenting vision to her role as Chair of the International Peace Alliance’s Women For Peace program. As the founder of EVE – End Violence Everywhere, a registered non-profit in Canada and 501(c)(3) charity in the United States, Cait has championed end-to-end support for survivors of gender-based violence through advocacy, education, community allyship, and legislative reform.

She is also co-founder of Voices Against Violence (VAV), a pan-Canadian coalition of grassroots leaders and nonprofit organizations committed to eradicating violence in all its forms—particularly against women and children. Most recently, she co-captained a national rally movement spanning multiple provinces and mobilizing thousands of participants, raising urgent public awareness on the crisis of domestic and intimate partner violence in Canada.

Cait’s career began on the world’s stage—literally. From her small-town Canadian roots, she rose to international prominence in fashion and film, gracing runways and magazines across the globe. Her creative path led her to roles in major film and television productions including Star Trek, The Handmaid’s Tale, and multiple international films during her time in India, including Bollywood cinema.

She holds a BA in Theatre from York University and a Certificate in Film/TV Scoring from Berklee College of Music, alongside advanced training in classical music with Level 8 Piano and Theory from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

As Chair of Women For Peace, Cait uses her platform to center survivor voices, elevate global awareness, and engage the public in transformative dialogue around gender equity and non-violence. Her leadership complements the strategic work of the program’s Director by mobilizing community-based movements, public advocacy, and creative campaigns aligned with IPA’s mission of building a more peaceful, just world through cultural, educational, and humanitarian action.
